Why this happens

Vitamin C does not affect the way Eliquis is broken down by the liver, nor does it interfere with the way Eliquis prevents blood clots.

You can take Eliquis and Vitamin C together. However, always stick to the recommended daily dose of Vitamin C, as extremely high doses (well above 2,000mg) can sometimes cause stomach upset or diarrhoea, which might affect how well your body absorbs your medications.
