Taking zopiclone and sildenafil together can make you feel very sleepy, dizzy, or lightheaded. It may also increase the risk of falls or accidents because both medicines can affect your coordination and alertness. Additionally, both drugs can lower your blood pressure, which might make you feel faint when standing up.

Why this happens
Zopiclone is a sedative that slows down the central nervous system, while sildenafil is used for erectile dysfunction but also relaxes blood vessels. When used together, their effects on your brain and blood pressure can add up, making side effects like drowsiness and dizziness more intense.
What you should do
Back to contentsUse this combination with caution. It is best to take zopiclone only when you are ready to go to bed and have a full night's sleep (7-8 hours). Do not drive, operate machinery, or perform tasks that require alertness until you are sure the effects have worn off. Avoid or strictly limit alcohol, as it will make these side effects much worse. If you feel severely dizzy or faint, sit or lie down immediately and contact your doctor.
