Why this happens
Both aripiprazole (Abilify) and ondansetron can cause 'QT prolongation'. This means they both slow down the electrical recharging of the heart muscle after each beat. When used together, this effect can be added together (additive effect), increasing the risk of an abnormal heart rhythm.
What you should do

Your doctor may want to perform a simple heart trace (ECG) to check your heart's electrical activity or monitor your mineral levels (like magnesium and potassium) through a blood test.
