Why this happens
Acetazolamide is a diuretic (water tablet) that causes the kidneys to flush out minerals like potassium and magnesium. Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which, when used long-term, can reduce the amount of magnesium the body absorbs from food. Using them together can have an additive effect on lowering these mineral levels.
What you should do

It is also best to avoid or strictly limit alcohol, as it can further affect your hydration and mineral balance.

Taking fluoxetine with Abilify (aripiprazole) can significantly increase the amount of Abilify in your bloodstream.
