Taking amlodipine and doxylamine together may cause your blood pressure to drop lower than intended. This can make you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or faint, especially when standing up quickly. You may also experience increased drowsiness or sleepiness.

Why this happens
Both medications can lower blood pressure (amlodipine is a blood pressure treatment, and doxylamine has a side effect of lowering blood pressure). Additionally, doxylamine is a sedating antihistamine that can cause tiredness, which may be more noticeable when your blood pressure is low.
What you should do
