Can I take Bisoprolol and Omeprazole together?

Why this happens

Bisoprolol (a beta-blocker) and omeprazole (a proton pump inhibitor) are processed by different pathways in the body. Omeprazole does not significantly affect how bisoprolol is absorbed, broken down by the liver, or removed by the kidneys. Furthermore, they do not have opposing or dangerously additive effects on heart rate or blood pressure.

You can continue to take both medications as prescribed by your doctor. You do not need to space them apart; they can be taken at the same time of day. As always, if you notice any new or unusual symptoms, such as extreme dizziness or a very slow heartbeat, consult your healthcare professional.
