Taking these medicines together may slightly reduce how well your Oxis inhaler works to open your airways. There is also a small chance of increased side effects like a dry mouth, blurred vision, or difficulty passing urine.

Why this happens
Cinnarizine and dimenhydrinate have 'anticholinergic' properties. These can sometimes oppose the way your asthma/COPD inhaler (formoterol) works on the muscles in your lungs. They also have overlapping side effects.
What you should do
Back to contentsIt is generally safe to use these together for a short time, but you should monitor your breathing closely. If you find your Oxis inhaler is less effective than usual, or if you feel more breathless, speak to your doctor. If you experience a very dry mouth or trouble urinating, mention this to your pharmacist.

Taking aspirin (75mg to 150mg) with Xigduo (which contains dapagliflozin and metformin) can increase the risk of your blood sugar dropping too low (hypoglycaemia). It may also increase the risk of a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, where too much acid builds up in your blood.
