Can I take Lenzetto spray and Microgram together?

Drug interaction guide

There is no known interaction between Microgynon (the likely intended medication) and Lenzetto spray. However, using both together is unusual because they both contain oestrogen. This could lead to an 'oestrogen overdose', causing symptoms like breast tenderness, nausea, or unexpected vaginal bleeding.

Why this happens

Both medications contain oestrogen. Microgynon is a combined oral contraceptive pill (containing ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel), while Lenzetto is a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) spray (containing estradiol). Taking both increases the total amount of oestrogen in your body beyond the recommended dose for either condition.

You should not use both Microgynon and Lenzetto at the same time unless specifically instructed by a specialist. They are generally used for different purposes (contraception vs. menopause symptoms) and using both can cause hormonal imbalances. Speak to your GP or pharmacist to ensure you are on the correct single treatment for your needs.
