Braised Swiss Chard with Currants and Feta

This vibrant vegetarian side dish of braised Swiss chard with currants and feta offers a sophisticated balance of flavours and textures. The earthy depth of the Swiss chard is beautifully offset by the burst of sweetness from the dried currants and the sharp, creamy finish of the crumbled feta. By cooking the stalks and leaves separately, you ensure the stems are perfectly tender while the greens retain their delicate structure and rich colour.

Quick to prepare and naturally nutritious, this recipe is a versatile addition to any midweek meal or festive spread. It pairs exceptionally well with roasted root vegetables, a simple lemon risotto, or even served as a topping for crusty sourdough toast. Whether you are looking for a healthy way to use seasonal greens or a colourful accompaniment for your next Sunday roast, this dish provides a Mediterranean-inspired touch that is both comforting and light.
