What is a ‘hypo’ and can you have one if you don’t have diabetes?

Médicaments pour le diabète

The term 'diabetes' covers a range of medical conditions that affect how well your body can digest and use glucose (sugar). People with insulin-dependent diabetes, also known as diabète de type 1, need daily injections of de l'insuline to manage their condition. Most other diabetes medicines are used to manage diabète de type 2. There are several different classes of medicine which all work in different ways. Often a combination of more than one medicine is needed to control blood sugar levels. Commonly used diabetes medicines include gliclazide, metformine et empagliflozine.
