This savoury Cheddar, red pepper and horseradish spread is a punchy addition to any buffet or lunch table. By combining the sharp tang of extra-mature cheese with the sweetness of roasted peppers and the heat of horseradish, you create a complex flavour profile that far surpasses any shop-bought alternative. It is a versatile vegetarian option that works just as well as a dip for crunchy crudités as it does generously slathered onto crusty sourdough.
Quick to prepare and using simple larder staples, this homemade spread is ideal for stress-free entertaining or as a protein-rich snack. The addition of Worcestershire sauce lends a subtle depth, while the mayonnaise ensures a smooth, spreadable consistency. For the best results, prepare it slightly in advance to allow the bold flavours to meld together perfectly.
