This vibrant conch salad brings a taste of the Caribbean directly to your kitchen. A staple of Bahamian cuisine, this dairy-free dish relies on the bright acidity of seasonal citrus juices to gently cure the fresh seafood. Combined with crisp peppers, cooling cucumber, and a hint of jalapeño heat, it offers a beautifully balanced contrast of textures and a deeply refreshing flavour profile that is perfect for summer dining.
As a light starter or a healthy lunch, this recipe is incredibly simple to prepare and naturally gluten-free. The secret lies in allowing the ingredients to marinate in the fridge, giving the citrus time to soften the conch and meld with the aromatic coriander. Serve it in chilled glasses with a final flourish of creamy avocado for a sophisticated yet effortless seafood treat.
