This vibrant vegetarian starter offers a sophisticated blend of textures and punchy flavours. These Roasted Red Pepper Stacks combine the earthy density of pumpernickel bread with creamy garlic and herb cheese, finished with a bright lift of lemon zest and the crunch of toasted almonds. The contrasting colours of the deep red peppers and dark bread make them a visually striking addition to any festive spread or dinner party platter.
Quick to assemble but impressive in appearance, these bite-sized appetisers are a fantastic option for effortless entertaining. As a meat-free canapé, they cater to a wide range of dietary preferences while remaining hearty enough to satisfy every guest. For the best results, ensure the roasted peppers are patted thoroughly dry with kitchen paper to keep the toasted bread rounds crisp.
