These grilled oysters with garlic breadcrumbs offer a sophisticated start to any dinner party, combining the fresh brine of the sea with a crisp, aromatic topping. By quickly grilling the oysters on the half shell, the delicate meat stays tender while the infused breadcrumbs provide a satisfying crunch. A subtle hint of anise from the Pernod elevates the dish, perfectly complementing the rich garlic butter.
This simple seafood recipe is an excellent choice for those seeking a lighter, dairy-free alternative to traditional gratins. Served warm with a generous squeeze of fresh lemon, these oysters make a vibrant and impressive appetiser that captures the essence of coastal dining. Pair them with a chilled glass of dry white wine for the ultimate seasonal treat.
