These vibrant melon coolers are the ultimate refreshment for a warm summer afternoon. By straining fresh cantaloupe through a fine cloth, you create an elegant, crystal-clear juice base that captures the peak flavour of the fruit without any heavy pulp. The addition of zesty lime juice and a subtle touch of sweetness balances the natural muskiness of the melon, resulting in a sophisticated soft drink that feels far more special than shop-bought alternatives.
As a low-sugar recipe, this drink is a lighter choice for those looking to stay hydrated without the syrup-heavy content of traditional sodas. The fizz from the chilled soda water adds a celebratory touch, making them ideal for serving at a garden party or a family barbecue. For the best result, ensure your cantaloupe is perfectly ripe and fragrant before you begin.
