This classic spaghetti with marinara sauce is the epitome of simple, comforting Italian cooking. By using high-quality shop-bought or homemade tomato sauce and finishing with authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano, you can transform a few larder staples into a vibrant and satisfying vegetarian meal. The secret lies in tossing the pasta directly in the frying pan, allowing the sauce to cling to the spaghetti for a silky, professional finish.
Ideal for a busy weeknight dinner, this versatile dish is both budget-friendly and nutritious. It serves as a fantastic base for a healthy family menu and can be easily adapted with a handful of fresh basil or a pinch of dried chilli flakes for extra heat. Serve it alongside a crisp green salad or some warm garlic bread for a complete Mediterranean-style feast.
