Can I take Royal sun and White button together?

Drug interaction guide

Both Royal Sun (Agaricus blazei) and White Button mushrooms contain compounds that may lower blood sugar levels. Taking them together could potentially cause your blood sugar to drop too low (hypoglycaemia). Additionally, both mushrooms may have mild blood-thinning effects, which could slightly increase the risk of bruising or bleeding if taken in large amounts.

Why this happens

These mushrooms contain beta-glucans and other compounds that can improve insulin sensitivity or mimic insulin-like effects. They also contain substances that may interfere with how blood cells (platelets) clump together to form clots.

What you should do

It is generally safe to eat these as part of a normal diet. However, if you are taking them as concentrated supplements, you should monitor your blood sugar levels closely, especially if you have diabetes. If you notice symptoms like dizziness, shakiness, or unusual bruising, speak to your doctor. Stop taking high-dose supplements at least two weeks before any scheduled surgery.
