Ingredients for Oven-roasted fries
Nonstick vegetable oil spray
900 g unpeeled potatoes, scrubbed, cut lengthwise into 1.5–2.5 cm wedges
30 ml vegetable oil
How to make Oven-roasted fries
Preheat the oven to 230°C (fan 210°C).
Lightly grease a large rimmed baking tray with non-stick spray or oil.
Toss the potato wedges in a large bowl with a drizzle of vegetable oil until evenly coated.
Season the potato wedges generously with salt and pepper, then spread them out in a single layer on the prepared baking tray.
Roast the potato wedges for 40–45 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are tender and golden in spots.
Once cooked, sprinkle with a little more salt and pepper to taste, and serve.
