  • juice of 3 grapefruits

  • 430 g guava purée (preferably from fresh guavas)

How to make Guava, grapefruit, and rosemary agua fresca (Agua fresca de guayaba, toronja y romero)

  1. Combine all the ingredients, except the sugar, in a blender and blend until smooth.  Make sure to blend in batches if your blender cannot accommodate all the ingredients at once.

  2. Strain the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any pulp.

  3. Add sugar or your preferred sweetener to taste, adjusting based on your preference and the natural sweetness of the fruit.

  4. Incorporate enough ice to achieve your desired chill.

  5. As an optional garnish, add a piece of an ingredient to the agua, such as a sprig of rosemary, a stick of cinnamon, or slices of lemon.

  6. Pour the agua into glasses filled with ice.
