This tree-trimming trail mix is a sophisticated, vegetarian snack that perfectly balances sweet and savoury flavours. Using plain popcorn as a light, crunchy base, the mix is elevated with the tartness of dried cranberries and the chewy richness of chopped figs. It is a fantastic alternative to shop-bought festive snacks, offering a wholesome blend of fruit and nuts that feels indulgent without being overly heavy.
Infused with a unique honey and bay leaf glaze, this homemade treat is ideal for sharing during the holiday season or packing into jars as a thoughtful gift. The addition of toasted sliced almonds provides a satisfying protein boost, making it a clever choice for healthy snacking. Simply bake until golden for a fragrant, crisp finish that the whole family will enjoy.
