The PROP1 gene provides instructions for making a transcription factor, which is a protein that controls the activity of many other genes. The PROP1 protein is found only in the pituitary gland, which is located at the base of the brain. The pituitary gland produces and releases hormones that are needed for growth, development, and other critical body functions. The PROP1 protein helps cell types specialize (differentiate) within the pituitary gland.

We all have 46 chromosomes in our cells. Chromosomes are made from DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid). Genes are short sections of DNA and each chromosome contains hundreds to thousands of genes. Genes contain the information our bodies need to make chemicals called proteins. Proteins form the structure of our bodies and play an important role in the.

What are jellyfish. Jellyfish are soft-bodied free-swimming animals with a jelly-like umbrella-shaped bell and trailing tentacles. The tentacles are covered in tiny sacs (called nematocysts) which release venom. A few live in fresh water, some in shallow coastal waters, and some in the deep oceans. They are believed to be the oldest multi-organ.

Amniocentèse
The most common reason for a pregnant woman to be offered amniocentèse is to see if her developing baby has a chromosomal disorder such as Down's syndrome. A note about DNA, genes and chromosomes In most cells of your body you have 46 chromosomes arranged in 23 pairs. 22 of the pairs are matching pairs. The 23rd pair are the sex chromosomes,.

Cri du chat syndrome
Cri du chat syndrome is a chromosome problem caused by a missing piece of chromosome 5. The syndrome is called cri du chat (French for cry of the cat) because affected babies often have a high-pitched cry. Not all babies with the missing piece of chromosome 5 will develop cri du chat syndrome. Cri du chat syndrome may cause a variety of.

Médicaments à garder à la maison
Minor illness and mild aches or pains are common. It is useful to keep a few medicines at home in case you need something when you can't get to a pharmacy, or they are closed. Always read the labels carefully and follow the instructions, and store the medicines out of the reach of children. Your pharmacist is a good person to give you more.
